This employee was the kind of thorough person who actually knows the company handbook cover to cover. He was well aware of the policy when he decided to wear shorts on the first warm day of the year. Unfortunately, before he even clocked in, the new boss confronted the author and made him stop what he was doing, go home, and change into “more appropriate attire.” Although he tried to explain how justified he was, the employee knew that there was little likelihood that he would change his boss's mind. Besides, it would be better to show, not tell anyway!

Several members of the online community weighed in with their reactions to this bogus micromanager's unnecessary behavior. We have to tip our hats to the author of this tale, who never wavered in his pursuit to prove to his skeptical boss that he had, in fact, done nothing wrong.
